Ekhaya FC Women duo Fortune Bwitubwitu and Hope Chikunga have earned call-ups to the Malawi Under-20 Women’s squad, named by head coach Maggie Chombo for the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria.
The two have earned their place in the 29-member squad set to begin preparations for the decisive FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup qualifiers final preliminary round clash against Nigeria.
Fortune, a commanding presence between the posts, and Hope, a sharp and energetic forward, have been instrumental for Ekhaya FC Women and now take their talent to the international stage with the Young Scorchers
Malawi will face Nigeria away on 2 May before returning home for the second leg on 9 May at Bingu National Stadium, with a place at the global showpiece in Poland up for grabs.
The squad is expected to report for camp on 13 April at Mpira Village as preparations get underway.
