Weekend Double-Header Keeps Ekhaya FC in Action

Weekend Double-Header Keeps Ekhaya FC in Action

While the First Team and the Reserves side are in the off-season, action continues for Ekhaya FC this weekend with two of our sides stepping up in important league fixtures.

The weekend kicks off on Saturday lunchtime at Mpira Stadium, where Ekhaya Women’s FC contest their 10th FAM Women’s League match against Ndirande Soccer Giants.

With a game in hand and sitting six points behind the league leaders, the Cowgirls have a golden opportunity to close the gap at the top of the table.

Victory on Saturday would add real momentum to their title chase as the season reaches a critical stage, though a tough test awaits against a strong Ndirande side.

The focus then shifts to Sunday morning as Ekhaya Youth (Under-19s) take to the field at Kamuzu Stadium against Agumbala FC.

Following a defeat to FCB Nyasa Big Bullets last weekend, the young lads will be eager to bounce back in their penultimate match of the season.

Currently third in the standings, seven points behind league leaders Mighty Wanderers FC, a win would be crucial in securing a strong finish to the campaign.

With competitive football continuing across the club, it promises to be a meaningful weekend for Ekhaya FC as the Cowgirls and the Youth side carry the badge forward in league action.
