The Ekhaya Weekly: What’s Ahead for Our Teams -Ekhaya FC

As July draws to a close, league action continues to gather momentum. Our men’s teams are fully engaged in competitive fixtures, while our women’s side keeps ramping up preparations ahead of their much-anticipated season.

Here’s what’s coming up this week across the Ekhaya FC setup:

First Team

Off the back of a 3-0 win over Moyale FC, the first team hits the road to face Silver Strikers in Malawi's capital.

It’s a crucial top-four showdown, just a single place and three points separate the two sides on the log, with Ekhaya currently sitting third. Expect fireworks in this high-stakes encounter at the Silver Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Reserves

As the first team heads north, our Reserves return to action this afternoon when they take on Tigers Reserves at Mpira Stadium in a match that offers them a chance of a big deal.

Tied on 27 points with league leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves who have played a game more, our Reserves enter this afternoon's tie hungry to take sole control at the summit.

Thereafter, the defending champions will face Zingwangwa United on Saturday at the same Mpira Stadium

Under-19s

After a draw and a narrow win in their opening two matches of the Blantyre District Youth Football League, the boys will aim to make it three unbeaten against Ndirande Dortmund in another early kickoff for them so far this season, this time at the Chilomoni Stadium, kicking off 11:00 AM.

Womens

Meanwhile, our women’s team continues their intense preseason program, sharpening up for what promises to be a thrilling campaign ahead.

Stay tuned and back the boys and girls in black and gold all week long!
