Ekhaya FC is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Moses Banda from Civil Service United on a three-year contract.
The 23-year-old central midfielder, renowned for his energy, vision, and leadership on the pitch, adds both quality and experience to The Cowboys’ squad as they gear up for the second half of the TNM Super League season.
Since his promotion to Civil Service United’s main team in 2020, Banda has made over 100 appearances, establishing himself as a consistent and influential presence in midfield.
This season, the Servants’ captain has taken his game to another level, earning three Player of the Match awards in just the first half of the campaign, underscoring his ability to control games and make decisive contributions.
Known for his midfield dominance and his knack for breaking up opposition play, Banda began his journey at Lingadzi Academy before joining Civil Service Academy in 2018.
Despite his relatively young age, he brings a wealth of leadership and experience, qualities that will be invaluable for The Cowboys as they pursue their league ambitions.
At Ekhaya FC, Banda will reunite with familiar faces, including Lovemore Mbeta and Emmanuel Saviel, whom he previously played alongside at Civil Service United.
This connection is expected to aid a smooth integration into the squad and strengthen the midfield unit.
Banda becomes the third signing for Ekhaya FC during the current mid-season transfer window, following the arrivals of Samuel Rukura and Joshua Waka, signaling the club’s intent to bolster its roster and compete across all competitions.
Speaking about the move, Banda said:
"Everyone wants to progress in life. I have been warmly welcomed here, and I’m a very happy person. As a player, there are many things you want to achieve in life, and I felt it was the right time to make the move. It was not a tough decision to choose Ekhaya."
Ekhaya FC fans can now look forward to witnessing Banda controlling the midfield and inspiring his teammates with his skill, leadership, and determination.
Welcome to the family, Moses!
