Ekhaya FC return to action this afternoon as they host Mafco FC at Champion Stadium in a TNM Super League clash, kicking off at 2:30PM.
The encounter comes after a two-week break that included the FIFA International Window and a suspension of domestic fixtures following Malawi’s general elections.
Both teams will be eager to shake off the rust and restart their league campaigns on a positive note.

The two sides are separated by six places on the log. The Cowboys sit 6th with 26 points from 17 matches, while Mafco FC hover just above the relegation zone with 18 points from the same number of outings.

Mafco, on the other hand, have struggled to find consistency, recording one win, one draw, and three defeats in their last five fixtures. They shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Moyale Barracks last time out.
When the two sides met in the reverse fixture earlier this season, Clever Chikwata’s solitary strike secured a 1-0 victory for The Cowboys.
A win today would propel Ekhaya into 5th place, depending on Civo United’s result against Kamuzu Barracks. Mafco, meanwhile, could climb as high as 9th with maximum points.

Head Coach Enos Chatama has named a 22-man traveling squad. The Cowboys are nearly at full strength, with only Lewa Nkosi and Safton Chintokoma sidelined through injury. Godfrey Kanyika, Matamando Mwatchipisa, Ninu Cassim, and Joseph McDonald have been left out.
There is good news, however, as Emmanuel Saviel and Wongani Kaponya return after lengthy layoffs, boosting options for the hosts.
