Ekhaya Weekly: Looking Ahead

Ekhaya Weekly: Looking Ahead

Plenty of action is lined up across Ekhaya FC this week, with all four of our teams set to keep busy in different ways despite the international break.

From this afternoon's  reserves challenge to the women’s league battle on Saturday and a return for the U20s next Monday, here’s how the week looks across our setup.

WEDNESDAY

Reserves vs Malawi U17 (Friendly, Mpira Stadium)

Our Reserves side may be on a midseason break, but they will stay sharp with back-to-back friendly matches.

First up is a Wednesday
morning test against Malawi U17, who are fine-tuning their preparations for the upcoming COSAFA games. It’s a great chance for our boys to keep their rhythm while giving the junior Flames a competitive workout.

FRIDAY

Main Team vs Reserves (Friendly, Mpira Stadium)

With no competitive league action due to the international break, and with two Cowboys called up for national duty, our Main Team will remain active by taking on our Reserves in a friendly at Mpira Stadium, kicking off 2:30PM

Fans can expect an entertaining encounter as the seniors sharpen their edge against the region’s top-performing reserves side.

SATURDAY

Women’s Team vs Chitoliro FC (Mpira Stadium)

The Cowgirls take center stage in the FAM Women’s Regional League with a crunch fixture against log leaders Chitoliro FC.

Ekhaya Women sit third with 9 points from 5 games, and victory here would tighten the race at the top. Expect an entertaining early kickoff at 8:00AM.

MONDAY

U20 vs Extended Hope (Chilomoni Stadium)

Fresh from a hard-fought victory last time out, our second-placed U20s return to action against Extended Hope just a day outside this week with kickoff at 9:30 AM.

With 21 points from 10 games (6W, 3D, 1L), Ekhaya Youth are determined to keep pressure on the leaders Might Wanderers Youth ñ in the FCB Katswiri U20 League.
