Ekhaya Weekly: Cowboys Seek Revival, Reserves Eye Top Spot Control

A double header awaits this Saturday at our home turf, Mpira Stadium, with just two of our teams in action this week.

Here’s how the opening week of October shapes up for Ekhaya FC :

SATURDAY

11:00 AM | Ekhaya Reserves vs Liberty FC (Mpira Stadium)

Rising the curtain will be our Reserves side which will take the pitch, with a ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League tie against Liberty FC.

Their second-round has begun in fine form, two wins out of two so far, with the latest a solid 2–0 victory away at Nsanje United.

What’s at stake:
Keeping the winning momentum is key to holding onto top spot in the Southern Region Football League.

Our Reserves, too, will be out to underline their title credentials, turning this home double-header into a real statement of intent.

2:30 PM | Ekhaya FC vs Songwe Border United (Mpira Stadium)

The Cowboys head into this clash on the back of four straight defeats, but a home meeting with Songwe Border United offers the perfect chance to turn things around. This will be their 19th outing of the league campaign.

Narrative to watch:
Ekhaya will be determined to turn their form around after a difficult run, while visitors Songwe Border United arrive still searching for their first TNM Super League of Malawi win of the season. In the reverse fixture, The Cowboys emerged 2-1 winners in a match played at Karonga Stadium.

With both sides desperate to change the narrative, this clash promises to be a battle of resilience and intent.
