Ekhaya FC have received a timely boost three games into the new season after confirming a two-year extension of their partnership with Union Building Contractors (UBC).
The renewed deal, which now runs for the next two seasons, includes a significant increase in player incentives. The Player of the Match award rises from MK100,000 to MK200,000, while the main performance bonus has been doubled from MK200,000 to MK400,000, underlining a shared commitment to rewarding excellence on the pitch.
Ekhaya FC’s Chief Executive Officer Thando Mhango welcomed the continued backing:
“The continued support allows us to keep creating an environment where players are recognised, motivated, and challenged to perform at the highest level every single week. This extension reflects the progress we are making as an ambitious and professionally run football club.”
Union Building Contractors General Manager Samson Kamwendo said the decision to extend for a further two years was driven by the club’s growth and performance trajectory.
“Ekhaya FC’s first season in the Super League can be dubbed a success. The players showed quality and resilience throughout, and it was only right for us to reaffirm our support for the 2026/27 season,” said Kamwendo.
“It’s been a great experience to be part of this journey. We believe in rewarding effort, and it’s important players know their commitment does not go unnoticed.
Ekhaya FC have positioned themselves well, attracting a young and eager fanbase alongside strong partnerships. From our side, we are pleased to extend this relationship for another two years as the club continues to grow.”
The extension comes amid a challenging start to the campaign, with The Cowboys collecting one point from their opening three matches, but it reinforces strong confidence in Ekhaya FC’s long-term vision both on and off the pitch.
