MATCH PREVIEW: Cowboys Eye Strong Finish in Sapitwa 4 Season 4

Ekhaya FC wrap up their Sapitwa 4 Season 4 campaign this afternoon with a decisive showdown against Goshen City Dedza Dynamos,  a repeat of the Castel Challenge Cup quarter-final that produced a tight and tense contest.

Both sides come into this final fixture locked on 3 points, each having registered a draw in regulation time before securing a win in the post-match shootouts. Dynamos overcame Mighty Wanderers, while the Cowboys edged out Red Lions in their opener.

With all four teams still mathematically in play, the championship equation remains open. The title will ultimately be settled based on the outcome of the Wanderers vs Red Lions match. But for Ekhaya FC, the mission is straightforward: Win in regulation time and Win the post-match penalty shootout
to stand a strong chance of lifting the crown under the tournament’s unique scoring system.

Sapitwa 4 Scoring System:
4 points – Win in regulation time
3 points – Score draw
2 points – Goalless draw
+1 point – Win on penalties

Head Coach Enos Chat has emphasised growth, cohesion and competition within the squad as key markers of this year’s pre-season outing.

“Mostly we should look at the performance. We have seen that the team is good; it played very well. We created a lot of chances. What is left is coordination among the players. We believe there will be competition in the team, everyone will work hard to have a place in this team,” he said.

With the Cowboys showing promise in their attacking phases and tightening up defensively, today’s match offers a final chance to fine-tune combinations and make a strong concluding statement in Sapitwa.

All eyes now turn to the pitch, and the calculations, as Ekhaya FC chase a winning end to Season 4.
