Ekhaya FC have further strengthened their squad ahead of the second round, promoting three Reserves players to the main team and one Youth player to the Reserves, following four new signings already completed during the mid-season window.
The latest moves take the club’s mid-season recruitment and promotion activity to eight players, underlining the Cowboys’ intent to enter the second half of the campaign with greater depth, competition and fresh energy.
Midfielder Keneth Mwale, Fanuel Luciano, and Francis Chimbayo make the step up from the Reserves to the main team. Mwale and Luciano arrives with international experience, having represented the U20 Flames at the COSAFA Afcon Qualifiers in Mozambique.

Meanwhile, Maxwell Simfukwe has been promoted from the Youth side to the Reserves, continuing Ekhaya’s pathway of bringing talent through its own ranks.
The promotions also follow the club’s bold decision to elevate Hope Mustafa directly from the Youth side to the main team, further highlighting Ekhaya’s commitment to giving emerging players a genuine route into senior football.
With four external additions already through the door and the latest promotions providing further depth from within, Ekhaya head into the second round with a refreshed squad and increased competition for places.
The objective is clear: to strengthen the team without losing sight of the future. The fresh additions are expected to bring renewed competition, energy and options as the Cowboys look to reignite their campaign and push for a stronger second half of the season.
Ekhaya return to action this Saturday when they host Kamuzu Barracks at Mpira Stadium, with the newly assembled squad set for its first test as the second-round push begins.
