Ekhaya FC can confirm the signing of striker Christopher Kumwembe from Mighty Wanderers on a long-term deal that will keep him at the club until 2028 season.
The forward joins The Cowboys with a strong pedigree built across eight seasons in Malawi’s top flight. A natural finisher, Kumwembe has registered 53 Super League goals, numbers that reflect consistency, sharp movement, and a striker’s instinct inside the box.
At international level, he has earned nine caps for the Malawi national team, scoring twice and gaining valuable experience at the highest stage.
His arrival comes at a key moment in the Cowboys’ campaign midway the season. While the team has shown structure and control, goals have been harder to come by, with 15 scored in 15 matches so far this season in the FDH Bank Premiership.
Kumwembe’s addition strengthens the attacking unit with a proven edge in front of goal as the club looks to increase its output in the final third.
